To have a quiet space on open sea you have to go very big (like cruiseships) or you have to go beneath the waves. Submarine yachts will open "on ocean living" for relativly small boats. The wall thickness for a surface yacht of the size of our prototype (9 x 2,5m ) would be a few millimeters.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Creating a hull of 18cm wall thickness as our prototype had would be almost impossible as the only way to create thick walled curved forms in steel is hammering a red hot steel block at prohibitive cost.
